The Sureshots (UK)

They started life as a trio called "The Atomix" in 1982, and set about rehearsing some of their favourite rockabilly, Rock 'n' Roll and blues numbers from their various record collections from the obvious to the obscure. A name change ensued and The Sureshots were born.

Within two years, press exposure lead to the boys first TV slot for the BBC news channel, “Look North” with Mike Neville, going out at prime time. Coincidentally a French promoter saw the show and booked the band for a festival in Bordeaux, so the doors to Europe were opened and to this day have very much remained open as the band still tour constantly, much to the delight of a never ending army of followers.

In 1987 the long-awaited album Four to the Bar was recorded for and released by the English Nose/ID label. Songs from this LP, like Broken Heart, Chinatown, Am I Blue and I'm Uneasy soon became Sureshots classics. Four to the Bar was a huge success, with releases in USA and even in Japan! More TV and radio work came along, the pinnacle being landed a spot on the now iconic show, “The Tube” for channel 4 in 1987, about the same time they were informed by “Charlie records” that they had reached number 3 in France with their first single, “Fire Engine Baby”, some achievement by any bands standards.

More TV work followed, Ben Elton’s “Friday Night Live” was next on the agenda in 1991 where shoulders were rubbed with “real media moguls” and after following their heroes from the 50’s, they now found themselves being followed and offered as backing band to the guys that started it all whenever they came to Europe.

The Sureshots have been booked to back or support some Rock 'n' Rolls greats like Sonny Burges, Jimmy Wages, Hayden Thompson, Charlie Feathers, Johnny Carroll, Jackie Lee Cochran, Sleepy La Beef, Tony Conn, Terry Dene, Johnny Powers, Freddie Fingers Lee and many more including the one and only Carl Perkins !

They were voted Rockin' Band of the Year in 1994 by the readers of the German Stompin' News Magazine, ( A German version of NME, ) which resulted in  '97 with the biggest tour yet, a gruelling 32 dates, 10 countries in 34 days, including some TV work and a spell in a recording studio in Sweden. A good promotion tour for their 4th and widely acclaimed CD/LP, S'wanky, released on German Rundell label. Since then they have toured the west coast of Australia, ( twice ) ! Played roots and rock festivals in Las Vegas ( twice ) ! Flew to Tokyo for a one off gig and radio show and still frequently tour Europe armed with a huge repertoire of songs, ( self penned and covers ).

TV and radio appearances: BBC Look North, BBC DEF 2, The Tube, Capitol Radio London, Friday Night Live Ch 4, Radio 24, Blue Moonshine Radio station, BBC Radio North, Country Music Television, have kept the band at the forefront of rock n roll and 10 albums of great music have made them firm favourites with fans of the genre.

As the late Carl Perkins once told a reporter after the band backed him up in 92, “ Man those boys play that music better than I ever did “ !

The Go Getters (SE)

THE GO GETTERS' MIX OF BLUES, ROCKABILLY, AND COUNTRY GENERATES A POSITIVE PARTY ATMOSPHERE THAT WILL KEEP THE BEER-TAPS OPEN AND TOES TAPPIN' ALL NIGHT AT ANY BAR OR EVENT. THIS IS TRUE CITY FIED AND COUNTRY-FRIED ROCKABILLY!!

In January of 1988, amidst the frozen badlands of Västerås, Sweden, a gang of Vikings decided to heat things up by forming a rockabilly trio. They would call themselves the Go Getters. Fourteen years later, the ensuing inferno rages like an oil fire out of control. Led by standup drummer and chief songwriter Peter Sandberg on lead vocals, the Go Getters have electrified audiences around the world with their own custom blend of ass-kickin’, blues-marinated, high-octane, mega-watt rockabilly boogie. After appearing on several compilation albums in the late 1980’s, the Go Getters released their first single, You Don’t Love Me, in 1992. The platter soon topped the European roots music charts and led to the release of their debut LP, Real Gone!; considered a milestone in modern Euro rockabilly music for its heavy infusion of the blues. The success of these records fueled a demand for the group throughout Europe, where they toured without mercy for the better part of a decade. In addition to their own shows, the Go Getters have backed many of the 50’s biggest rockabilly stars, including Sleepy La Beef, Ray Sharp, Larry Donn, Johnny Powers and the greatest of them all, Mr. "Rockin’ Bones" himself, the late Ronnie Dawson (R.I.P) out of Dallas, Texas. Since 1990 Dawson used them on almost all his tours in Scandinavia. He is sorely missed by the whole Rock & Roll scene worldwide. He was a great person, friend and mentor to Sandberg.

The group embarked on their first tour of the United States in 1995, playing Chicago, Detroit and Minneapolis before finally incinerating Fairmont, Indiana, where they rocked the Rebel Weekender to a frenzy, proving that a gang of Vikings could still conquer a continent. In that same year they also released two singles; Gangwar/ Hobo Baby and Sandberg’s self-penned "LOUD PIPES `N´ LEAD FEET", the latter a hit in the hot rod world, where Sandberg, in addition to his full-time singing, drumming, and songwriting continued to build his own Hot Rods & Customs. In 1996, the single MeXiGo!/ Madman Blues was released on Goofin’ Records, followed by their second, blistering LP, Hotter Than A Pepper. In May of that year they also made their long awaited appearance at the Hemsby Rock & Roll Weekender .16 in the U.K., inciting their fans to near riot. That summer they embarked on their second U.S. tour, invading New York, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Portland and Boston, and in the Viking tradition, taking no prisoners. `98 saw the release of the third Go Getters LP, Rock & Roll Is Everywhere!, and the band’s third U.S. tour, with stops in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose and ultimately, “Sin City” and the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender, where their performance was said to have raised the candlepower of the Vegas skyline to that of a nuclear blast. A week after arriving home to Sweden, the trio swept out the ashes and hit the road for its triumphant return to England and the Hemsby Rock & Roll Weekender 20. In 1999 the Go Getters toured the United States for the fourth time before landing in Australia on a ten-city string of barn burners that left the earth scorched in the land down under. The tour included a recording session at the famous ”PRESTON STUDIO” in Melbourne.  They released a LIVE CD with recordings from USA "LIVE IN LOS ANGELES" (Still Crazy After All These Beers!) This long-awaited live recording was done on a hot night at the the Fabulous CINEMA BAR in Culver City, California.

The Kokomo Kings (SE)

Winners of the Blues Lounge Radio Show "band of the year 2018" and "Entertainers of the Year 2021" awards!

The swedish band The Kokomo Kings has gained a reputation of playing an uncompromising, no-nonsence brew on a variety of low-down rocking roots-music, grounded deep in the blues. They have been described as being "more rock´n´roll than rock´n´roll" and having "energy level 11".

They got together in the spring of 2012 aiming to play nothing but primitive, groovy Saturday-night music made for dancing.

In October 2013 they released the full length album “Artificial Natural” that received great rewievs. Many Blues- and Rock´n´Roll fans claimed that it was the first time for many years that they listened to a blues album from the first song to the last, and just loved every second of it!

In the spring of 2017 the german label Rhythm Bomb Records released their 2nd album "Too Good to Stay Away From".

The Ameripolitan Music Awards in Memphis nominated the Kokomo Kings to best rockabilly band 2018, and the band won the "Band of the Year 2018" and the "Entertainers of the Year 2021" award from The Blues Lounge Radio Show in the U.K. In 2022 they won both the “Entertainers of the Year” and “Artist of the year”  from The Blues Lounge Radio Awards.
