Louis King “The King of the Rockabilly Blues” was born in Scotland and raised on the road in Australia . He has been at the top of the Roots music scene in Australia since the first CD was released in 1996 . He has performed at all the major festivals in the country, including the East Coast Festival in Byron Bay 5 times, as well as Bridgetown ,Cairns and Broadbeach Blues festivals. Louis King has also toured Europe 5 times,performing at the prestigious Great British Blues Festival. In 2013 he again toured Europe and was a featured artist at The Screamin’ festival in Barcelona ,as well as the famous Kwadedamme Blues festival

His 5 Original CD’s have gained awards from ARIA Nominations, to The Age’s ‘Album of the Year’. Louis’s songs Have been covered by Artists, Including New Orleans favourite son Rockin’ Doopsie Junior and The Flattrackers ,and even Doug Mulray!.they have also been incuded in the soundtrack of a Hollywood movie and ‘Underbelly’

The legendary Liars Klub features the great Victor Polyik ,one of Australia’s outstanding Blues Harp exponents as well as the barefoot bassist, Mal Beveridge and Adam 'Duffman' Duffy on sticks n skins.

The band has been the featured support act for B.B King,Buddy Guy, Jimmie Vaughan and Screamin’ J Hawkins. His music is a dangerous mix of Blues and Rockabilly songwriting with a stage act that is a mixture of an outback roadhouse and a Glasgow Pub fight!

Hot Rod Riot - Live Rockabilly & Rock ‘n Roll fun trio!

Hot Rod Riot brengt Rockabilly en Rock ‘n Roll met een hoog Stray Cats gehalte. De missie is van deze enthousiaste mannen is helder: ‘samen met het publiek steeds weer een memorabel Rockabilly feest bouwen!’ Dat dit trio daar zelf heel veel plezier aan beleeft, dat spettert dan ook steevast van het podium af.

Geïnspireerd door de Stray Cats maar met een geheel eigen twist bouwen ze een Rockabilly en rock ‘n roll feest waar het enthousiasme vanaf spat. Denk daarbij aan bekende Stray Cat songs zoals Runaway boys, Stray Cats Strut, Rumble in Brighton, Fishnet Stockings, Sexy and seventeen, 18 Miles to Mephis, Blast off, Gene and Eddy en Rock this town maar ook aan Rockabilly klassiekers als Stood up, Please don’t leave me, My one desire, Come on everybody en Summertime blues. Dat aangevuld met all time Rock ‘n Roll hits als Blue suede shoes, Hound dog, Oh boy, Peggy Sue, Great balls of fire en Johnny B Good maakt een optreden van Hot Rod Riot verrassend veelzijdig en gevarieerd voor jong en oud!
